How Do You Play Banana Eats?
Banana is hunting you, and solving puzzles brings your escape closer. This Banana Eats how to play guide covers the survivor loop: hide, shorten the timer, and leave when the exits open. If you become Banana, your job is to catch the other players before they escape.
You can play Banana Eats on Roblox on Desktop, Mobile, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. Servers hold up to 10 players.
For a survivor, a round follows this sequence:
- Vote for a map during the lobby phase.
- Use the 15-second preparation period to locate puzzles, nearby hiding places, and routes between rooms.
- Complete puzzles to reduce the round timer while avoiding Banana.
- Head for an exit when one minute remains. Enter an open exit to escape.
Survivors start with three hearts. A bite removes a heart and gives you a temporary speed boost to get away. When the exits open, survivors drop to one remaining heart—even if they previously had more. Save your attention for the escape route once that final phase begins.
How to Solve Every Puzzle
Puzzles reduce the time you need to survive. You don't have to finish every puzzle to escape, but completing them brings the exit phase closer.

| Puzzle | What to do | Time removed |
|---|---|---|
| Cake | Collect scattered slices and deliver them to the main cake | 60 seconds |
| Jumbled Blocks | Arrange the pieces into the displayed picture | 30 seconds |
| Code | Find the three-digit clue and enter it into the number panel | 30 seconds |
| Valves | Finish all three valves by advancing their meters to green | 30 seconds |
Collect and Deliver Cake Slices
Click or tap a cake slice to collect it, then carry it to the main cake. Keep delivering slices until the cake puzzle is complete.
Locate the main cake before making repeated collection trips. On Peeled Highschool, check the gym and library. On Sinister Supermarket, check around the cash registers as you search for the cake.
Cake placement can change between rounds, so revisit its possible locations instead of assuming it stayed where you last found it. Completing the cake removes a full minute from the timer.
Match the Jumbled Blocks
Arrange the puzzle pieces to form the picture, which can depict a cake or a banana peel trap. Check how the pieces fit together rather than changing them at random.
If another survivor is already working on the puzzle, leave them room to finish. Simultaneous interactions can undo each other's progress.
Find the Code Before Using the Panel
Search for a clue showing three digits, then enter that combination into the number panel. Clicking a digit cycles its value.
The clue can appear on the floor or around map objects, including conveyor belts. Search beyond eye level, and use the combination you find during that round.
Complete All Three Valves
Repeatedly interact with each valve until its meter reaches green. The indicator lights track progress across the three valves; finishing one does not complete the whole set.
Move after completing a puzzle. Completion triggers a sound and a visible puzzle icon that Banana can also see.
How to Survive Chases and Reach an Exit
Your Beacon warns you when Banana approaches: it glows brighter as the hunter gets closer. Watch it while collecting cake or working on a puzzle so you can leave before Banana reaches you.

Use these escape habits:
- Break off a puzzle when danger approaches. Return after creating distance.
- Use vents to change routes. Survivors can pass through them, while Banana cannot follow through the opening.
- Keep moving after entering a vent. Banana can still catch you near the wall, so the opening itself isn't a safe stopping point.
- Watch the floor for peel traps. Slipping can leave you exposed to a bite.
- Use lockers carefully. Banana can discover players inside and destroy the locker.
- Use the speed boost after a bite to gain distance. Spend that brief opening moving toward another route.
When the exits open, prioritize leaving over finishing another cake delivery. Your remaining heart makes a late encounter especially dangerous.
Check the approach for peels before running through. If Banana is guarding one exit, look for the other rather than repeatedly approaching the same trap.
How to Play as Banana
Banana hunts survivors, places peel traps, and interrupts escape attempts. You cannot complete survivor puzzles or collect cake slices, so focus on finding players and controlling their routes.

Each player you eat adds 15 seconds to the timer. Catching survivors therefore gives you more time to hunt the remaining players.
- Place peels near vent openings and exit approaches. Target places survivors use to escape.
- Investigate puzzle icons. They reveal where a puzzle was just completed.
- Follow peel alerts. Check the area for a survivor who slipped.
- Check lockers for appearing hearts. Use that clue to spot someone hiding inside.
- Watch both exit routes during the final phase. Guarding one leaves survivors another way out.
Remember that survivors receive a speed boost after a bite. Follow their escape direction and watch nearby vents so you can continue the chase.
