Banana Eats puzzles cut down the time you need to survive, giving Banana fewer chances to catch you. There are four puzzle types: collecting cake slices, rotating picture tiles, turning valves, and entering a hidden number code. Finish the cake to remove a full minute; each other completed puzzle removes 30 seconds.
| Puzzle | Completion requirement | Time removed |
|---|---|---|
| Cake | Deliver seven slices to the main plate | 60 seconds |
| Picture | Rotate all 16 tiles into the correct orientation | 30 seconds |
| Valves | Finish all three valves | 30 seconds |
| Number code | Enter the hidden three-digit combination | 30 seconds |
Cake Puzzle: Collect and Deliver Seven Slices
The cake is the only puzzle you can work on immediately after the round starts, before Banana appears.
- Find the large plate holding the main cake. One slice is already in place.
- Look around the map for individual cake slices sitting on small plates.
- Interact with a slice to collect it, then bring it to the main plate.
- Keep delivering slices until seven have been added to complete the cake.
Each deposited slice gives 2 experience points. Completing the cake removes 60 seconds from the round timer.
There are eight collectible slices scattered around the map, so you can finish without finding every one. Delivering the spare slice after completion still awards experience, but it does not remove more time.
Each map has two possible main-cake locations. In Banana Manor, check beside the only staircase on the bottom floor or at the opposite end from the exit door upstairs.
Pick up slices along your route during the opening preparation period. The other puzzles remain unavailable until Banana arrives, so use that early window to make cake progress.

Picture Puzzle: Turn Every Tile Green
The picture puzzle contains 16 rotating tiles, forming an image such as a cake or banana peel. The green outlines tell you which pieces are already correct.

- Find a scrambled picture board.
- Select a tile with a red outline to rotate it.
- Continue rotating that tile until its outline turns green.
- Repeat for every remaining red tile.
The puzzle finishes when all tiles are correctly oriented and outlined in green, removing 30 seconds from the timer.
Work across the board in rows to keep track of unfinished pieces. Leave green tiles alone and focus on the red outlines instead of trying to reconstruct the entire image at once.
A round can contain two picture puzzles. Because completing a board takes repeated interactions, check your surroundings before settling in.
Valve Puzzle: Complete the Entire Set
The valve puzzle uses three valves positioned near one another. Each has a meter and indicator lights showing progress through the set.

- Find a valve whose arrow has not turned green.
- Interact with it repeatedly to move the arrow toward the right end of its meter.
- Stop when the arrow turns green.
- Find and finish the remaining valves until all three indicator lights are green.
Completing one valve earns experience, but the 30-second timer reduction happens only after all three are finished.
Check the lights before searching for more valves. If some are already green, part of the set has been completed.
Turning a valve makes a creaking sound. Watch for Banana while interacting, and leave the remaining work for later if it approaches.
Number Code Puzzle: Find the Three-Digit Answer
The combination changes, so there is no fixed code to memorize between rounds. Each of its three digits ranges from 1 to 7.

- Search the map for the small display showing the hidden combination.
- Read and remember all three digits in order.
- Find the larger code puzzle.
- Select its numbers to cycle them until they match the hidden display.
Entering the correct combination removes 30 seconds from the timer.
The clue is unreadable before Banana appears. If you find it during the opening preparation period, remember its location and return once Banana enters the map.
Move Away After Completing a Puzzle
A completed puzzle triggers a gong and a puzzle-piece marker that everyone can see, including Banana. Finishing the objective can draw the hunter directly toward your position.
- Plan your departure before making the final interaction.
- Move away from the completed puzzle instead of waiting beside it.
- Watch your beacon: a brighter glow means Banana is nearby.
- Break off an unfinished puzzle when Banana approaches, then return when you have room to work.
