How to Complete The Hollow Quest

Finding the Hollow Key only gets you halfway to Banana’s Basement—you still have to escape with it. This Banana Eats quests guide takes you through the key hunt, the basement cake puzzle, and the final LOLWEN reward claim. Protect your run after grabbing the key, because taking three hits means another attempt.

Start by opening Banana Eats on Roblox, then select The Hollow icon in the upper-right corner. The event sends you through three stages: collect the key during a round, survive and enter the cave’s red door, then complete the basement challenge.

Find the Hollow Key During a Round

1. Vote for the one-Banana option. Keep the key hunt manageable by choosing a round with a single pursuer.
2. Search while playing as a runner. Look through the map for the glowing Hollow Key.
3. Interact with the key to collect it. Watch the floor around it before approaching; Banana can place a trap nearby.
4. Escape when the exits open. Picking up the key alone does not finish this stage.

The gym is one place to search, but keep moving through other rooms instead of waiting there. The key can appear after you have already searched an area, so revisit accessible rooms if your first sweep turns up nothing.

You have three lives during the round. Getting caught three times ends your attempt, so avoid taking unnecessary risks once you have the key. Use a locker to hide when you need cover, and check your route for traps before moving toward an exit.

Completing puzzles reduces the time until the exits open. Work on accessible puzzles when Banana is elsewhere, then prioritize reaching an exit safely.

Enter Banana’s Basement and Complete the Cake

After escaping with the key, return to the cave and interact with the red door. It takes you into Banana’s Basement, where the objective changes from surviving a round to completing a cake.

1. Activate your banana torch. On keyboard, press 1.
2. Find the cake objective. Its progress counter tracks eight pieces, with one already in place at the start.
3. Explore the maze for the remaining slices. Follow the white and red arrows through its branching paths.
4. Continue until the counter reaches eight out of eight.

Either arrow color can be followed first. Explore both routes rather than assuming one color leads to every slice.

The maze loops, which lets you circle back when you miss something. If you are short of the final piece, retrace a route and inspect branches you passed earlier. Expect jump scares while exploring, and keep your attention on the cake counter so you know when the puzzle is complete.

Claim the LOLWEN Reward in The Hollow

Completing the cake triggers a sequence that takes you into a strange area filled with LOL-themed fruit and celestial figures. Continue through that sequence, then head into The Hollow for the item claim.

Go to floor six, find the room containing the banana item, and interact with it to claim LOLWEN.

Floor six is dark, so move carefully while looking for the banana display. Keep the basement completion and the item pickup as separate objectives: after finishing the puzzle, follow through with the floor-six claim.

Daily Quests and Seasonal Hunts

The Hollow is a limited-time quest. Daily quests provide another reason to keep playing between event attempts, especially when you want XP alongside your survival runs.

Keep these quest and reward details in mind:

• Daily Quests: Award bonus XP.
• Weekend bonus: Banana Eats offers x2 XP every weekend.
• Friend bonus: Playing with friends gives bonus XP.

Seasonal hunts have their own objectives. The Easter Egg Quest ran April 12–26, 2025, while the Pumpkin Quest ran October 19–November 9, 2024, and required finding hidden pumpkins for a prize. Follow the current event’s instructions when choosing what to hunt: The Hollow starts with its key, then leads into Banana’s Basement.
