How to Unlock Absolutely Rotten

The Banana Eats Absolutely Rotten badge requires you to eat 9 players in a single round. Catching several runners is only part of the challenge—you need enough players available to reach that total. Plan your attempt around a full server while playing as Banana.

Keep these two numbers in mind:

  • Badge requirement: Eat 9 players within one round.
  • Maximum server size: 10 players.

With you occupying one server slot, that leaves nine other players in a full server. There is no spare target: letting a runner escape puts the required total out of reach for that round.

Check the player count before planning a badge attempt. A smaller lobby can give you practice chasing runners, but it cannot supply nine opponents. Also, keep each attempt separate—the requirement is nine players eaten together in one round, rather than a total built across several matches.

Absolutely Rotten belongs to the permanent badge lineup. It is separate from limited badges such as Banana's Key, Banana's Rune, and Banana's Basement of SECRETS. Keep your hunt focused on the regular round objective rather than a seasonal quest.

Several other badges reward completely different actions. Use their requirements to separate a hunter attempt from something you can pursue while playing another role:

  • Okay without K: Escape as the only surviving player in a round with at least 9 players. Its player-count requirement concerns a survivor escaping, while Absolutely Rotten requires Banana to eat nine players.
  • Slipping Up: Get eaten by Banana after slipping on a peel. This rewards the runner involved in that encounter.
  • Bunch of Bunches: Purchase 10 skins. Buying cosmetics fulfills a collection objective rather than the nine-player eating requirement.
  • Pro Peeler: Reach level 16 and play in a Pro Server. Its level and server conditions belong to that badge.

The difference between the two population-based challenges matters before the round even begins. Okay without K allows a round with at least nine players; a hunter pursuing nine opponents needs the full ten-player capacity. Read the badge name alongside its objective when choosing which challenge to attempt.

Plan Your Hunt Around Puzzles and Exits

Runners hide from Banana, complete hidden puzzles, and escape once the exits open. Completing tasks can bring those exits closer to opening, so your hunt has to account for both hiding players and their progress.

  1. Look for runners around puzzle areas. Include those areas in your search instead of checking hiding places alone.
  2. Keep track of players you still need to catch. Every remaining runner matters when the target is nine.
  3. Shift attention toward escape routes when exits open. Runners can finish their escape at that point; prioritize catching them before they leave.

Use Banana’s peels with the badge objective in mind. Runners can slip on them and then be eaten, so place them along routes you expect players to use and stay ready to pursue anyone who slips.

The Hollow adds another reason for runners to make it through a round. Its basement quest involves collecting a key, surviving until the exits open, and escaping before entering Banana’s haunted basement. Keys are limited during the round: once a player takes one, another player cannot collect that same key. Include those key-carrying runners in your hunt rather than assuming everyone is working only on puzzles.

Inside the basement, the event objective changes to finding eight cake pieces and placing them on a plate. Adding the final piece triggers a cutscene and awards the event badge. That cake-collection sequence belongs to the basement challenge; eating nine players remains the objective for Absolutely Rotten.

Banana Eats is available on desktop, mobile, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. Open Banana Eats on Roblox on your supported device to enter the experience and prepare for your next round.

Keep the final objective clear throughout the round: nine players eaten before the opportunity to catch them is gone. Surviving as a runner, collecting coins, and completing the basement event pursue different goals. For this badge, focus your attempt on playing the hunter in a populated round.
